Today we’re going to look at the magic formula for attaining any goal. You see, fortunately, we’ve got to a stage where more and more people are accepting that thoughts become things. And so, if you wish to see positive things in your life, you must think positive things. This is pretty much the Law of Attraction after all. The thing is, we often log into social media sites and our timeline is full of quotes and messages related to having a sanguine attitude towards life and people. Yet a day later, the same users will post something on a completely different vibration; something negative usually. Here’s an example. A user may tweet. “A positive mind creates a positive life.” Yet the next day they may tweet, “I hate you idiots that always tweet about your life. No-one cares!” Quite the contradiction! Now you have to ask yourself, do you want to be someone who practises a positive lifestyle, or preaches about it? There’s a very big difference and this is often the reason why people have difficulties manifesting their goals. We live in a world where people now know what to do, yet they still don’t do it! Or, they simply don’t do enough of it!
“To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Life gets tough! Even for the mega-rich or super-kind; there are always opposing forces that make their way into your life, even without an invitation. But regardless of what comes your way, you have to apply faith; that is having the confidence and trust in the desired outcome. You need to have so much faith, that even when you have every reason to quit, you carry on believing. Belief is just the acceptance that something is true; you can also say that beliefs are just thoughts that you keep thinking. For example, you may accept that Leonardo DiCaprio is the best actor in the world because you continually think he is. So knowing this, how do you change your beliefs to more positive ones? You keep thinking positive – that is, you stay optimistic and confident. Often people say that faith and belief are the same things, and although they are extremely similar, we hope the above helps you see that faith, in the process of manifestation, is a result of positivity inspiring beliefs. This is why positivity is so vital.
There’s so many people who have had success with applying the Law of Attraction, along with the techniques and tools that are affiliated to it. When they share their success stories with the world, it inspires others to try it out too. This is great! When others finally put it into practise, many of them have a bit of success with certain things but not with other things. As a result, they give up or start being negative again, until of course, they feel happier; when they start acting positive again – which is completely inconsistent! Then you get some people who are super positive and can be extremely faithful to their dreams. They stay like this until someone they respect, such as a close friend, or in fact someone who is absolutely irrelevant, laughs and ridicules their dreams and desires (often referred to as a reality check). This causes them to start doubting and losing faith. When going after your goals, you have to do it with some form of consistency and you have to be persistent. You have to keep going and you cannot allow yourself to get distracted by anything or anyone; always stay focused on the desire. If you lose focus, you’ll be out of sync with your goal which will result to delays, or it not being manifested at all.
“Success is the sum of small efforts – repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier
Let’s use an analogy to describe everything we’ve talked about so far. Think of a goal like a fully-grown plant – an idea gives it birth; it plants the seeds. This is you beginning to create this plant. Now let’s imagine that this is a plant that you’re growing outside. This plant is going to experience all kinds of weather conditions or external influences which will try and deter its growth – we usually identify this as fate. Fate is just the conditions we are often exposed to; it bears no value on the end result, unless you let it. Struggles, people, places and things, can never define our outcome unless we let them. Every time you have doubts, or you’re negative and stop believing, you take away one of the key elements that helps this plant grow. You let fate, especially when it’s performing a cruel act such as thunder, get the better of your plant (goal). Now if you continually lose these elements which nurture the plant, or intermittently believe in the growth of your plant, you will either make little or no progress, or even possibly kill it if you give up on it. The plant doesn’t grow overnight and it requires patience. Even though the plant may take some thrashing from the world which can’t be controlled, it’s up to you to water, feed and expose the plant, to conditions which will help it grow!
“We can’t direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails. For maximum happiness, peace, and contentment, may we choose a positive attitude.” – Thomas S. Monson
Let’s now look at the example above and apply some key terms. As we’ve mentioned already, a fully-grown plant is your goal. Nurturing the plant to help it grow is the same as providing the right conditions to help reach your goal. That is, applying positivity to encourage beliefs and maintain faith. This is essential. Yet, you can’t just nurture the plant as you wish. You have to stay consistent, otherwise you’ll stunt its growth, or let the plant die. You have to nurture it with the same efforts, routinely to help maintain its growth. And you have to keep doing this no matter what the plant faces, such as bad weather. You have to be persistent; continue these actions despite opposition.
Stepping back out of the example, we can sum up what we’ve learnt. First of all, remember that when you try and manifest a goal and apply the Law of Attraction, your attitude towards it must be a full-time thing. It is very hard to stay positive all the time, but you have to be willing to try your best. You always have a choice to react well, or not so well, to anything that you face in life. You have to be willing to react in a positive manner because you deserve to achieve the goal you desire. If you don’t, you have a consequent affect on your beliefs and hence your faith. You need to be consistent with what you do; doing things in the same way, if not better. You also need to be persistent, so that you continue your positive thoughts or actions, despite any hardship. Don’t quit on your dreams, you could be so close to manifesting them. Keep going, be patient and ensure you apply the magic formula below:
Faith (Positivity -> Beliefs ) + Consistency + Persistence = GOAL
