There is such a thing as magic and miracles, but you have been trained to disbelieve them. Childhood propaganda about miracles and cheap parlor magic has jaded you and made you cynical. After her baby survives a burning car crash, ask the mother if she believes in miracles. The next time you almost intuitively sense and avoid danger, ask yourself if magic could exist to the point where you subconsciously saw the future before it happened.

The magic tricks listed below have nothing to do with spirits, Mana, or picking a card. All the advice listed in this article is there to induce magic in your mind: to change the way you think and the way your mind works in order to grow, to become more productive and to make a change. Can a single article change the way you think forever and improve your personal growth? Take the advice below on board, and the effect it has on your life and the way you think will be magical.

1.   The way you approach your task

  • Extreme focusing
  • List your tasks and work sequentially
  • Do not multi-task
  • Delegate rather than multi-task
  • How can you improve?
  • How can you improve further?

Extreme focusing means pouring all your energy into one thing. To focus on just one thing to the exclusion of everything else is actually tough, but it is very rewarding if you get into the habit of it.

List your tasks and work sequentially without deviating from your current task. Write your list and concentrate on task number one. Do nothing else until task number one is complete. Do not dedicate a scrap of thought to anything besides point number one until it is complete, and then continue on to point number two and so forth.

Do not multi-task because you are no good at it. Productive people have tunnel vision when they work on a task. Delegate rather than multi-task. If your current list of tasks really need doing now, then delegate before you consider multi-tasking.

Productive people are always looking for ways to improve themselves. Improve yourself, and then ask yourself how you can improve further. The more you hone your process, the more productive you become.

2. Who does each task?

  • Strategically outsourcing tasks
  • Delegate to people that have the same goals as you
  • Improve your productivity regularly
  • Streamline without damaging quality
  • Outsourcing is not an excuse for laziness

Strategically outsourcing tasks that will drain your productive time. For example, if you have kids that love social media, and yet you know your social media campaign is a time vampire, then outsource a few tasks to your kids.

Delegate to people that have the same goals as you, especially if their efforts will help them reach the same goals as you. Work with others and create mutually-beneficial scenarios.

Improve your productivity regularly because it will help lessen your reliance on other people with outsourcing. Streamline as much as possible without damaging quality. Streamlining means finding ways of doing things quicker and with fewer resources.

Outsourcing is not an excuse for laziness. Do not pass tasks on to other people because you cannot be bothered to do them yourself.

3. What can you learn from misery?

  • Eliminating emotional distractions
  • Removing negativity from your life
  • Replacing negativity in your life
  • Embracing negative sources
  • Tolerating negativity
  • Learning from negativity

Eliminating emotional distractions is okay if you are a Vulcan, otherwise you may have to learn to avoid them or handle them in a mature and adult way.

Removing negativity from your life is advisable, but not always possible. Instead of trying to cut negative people from your life, try replacing them with positive people. If you try to remove negativity, you leave a void that must be filled. Replacing negativity in your life is usually a good thing, especially if you are replacing negativity with positivity.

Embracing sources of negativity is sometimes a good thing. Why is the source negative? Does the source have a good point? What can be done to lessen or replace the source of negativity?

Tolerating negativity is also okay if you are emotionally mature enough to handle it. Learning from negativity is important so long as you do not allow it to consume you. Above all, take and maintain and positive attitude yourself–even if you do not feel it, you should still act it. If you act it, then you will never be a source of negativity in another person’s life.

4. Mistakes are your enemy and your ally

  • Allow yourself to make mistakes
  • Embrace your mistakes
  • Do what you can do to avoid mistakes
  • What can you learn from your mistakes?
  • You are allowed to feel bad about your mistakes

Allow yourself to make mistakes because they are often good learning experiences, especially if your mistakes are related to your working procedure. Embrace your mistakes and ask yourself why you made them.

Do what you can do to avoid mistakes because they are not positive things, but that doesn’t mean you should kick yourself too hard for them. Just because you were caught in the rain doesn’t mean you are a failure.

What can you learn from your mistakes and are other people making the same mistakes as you? Why are others making the same mistakes? You are allowed to feel bad about your mistakes, but don’t punish yourself for them if you have no intention of identifying your problem and changing your problem.

5. Successful people direct their focus purposefully

  • Focus on the experience rather than the end result
  • Focus on the end result after the experience
  • Focus on the end result after the end result
  • Look ahead and look back

Focus on the experience rather than the end result if the end result is rather lackluster. For example, a task such as vacuuming doesn’t have a brilliant payoff, so concentrate on how to vacuum more efficiently, more quickly and more productively.

Focus on the end result after the experience if the experience is especially grueling. Once you have finished, you may look back and pat yourself on the back for all the struggling you had to go through.

Focus on the end result after the end result if you find an anticlimax follows your end result. You may have worked so hard to get something that it is almost a disappointment when you get it. This is a time when you should reflect on why you did what you did and why you would do it again if given the chance.

Look ahead and look back if you truly wish to encourage personal growth. Regrets are only painful if you learn nothing from them, and people who fail to plan are people who invite failure.
